A human adult or animal is a creature that has developed to the fullest extent. Adult is a term used in the context of human beings to refer to social and legal concepts. By the time we reach an early age (20 to the early 40s) our physical growth is completed, though our weight and height may increase slightly. During young adulthood we reach the peak of our physical capabilities.
